The only 72-hole tournament where professionals and amateurs play together

The Omnium Classic of Belgium (since 1960, often simply called Omnium of Belgium) is a prestigious annual golf tournament in Belgium where professional players and top amateurs compete for the title. The event is organised by the Royal Belgian Golf Federation and was long held at the Royal Limburg Golf Club, later also at the Golf Château de la Tournette and so now at GC Hulencourt.

Here are the key points and usage details:

  • Objective: To provide a unique platform where professionals and amateurs (both men and women) can compete against each other.
  • History: The tournament has been in existence since 1960, with a special “Classic” edition bringing together the cream of Belgian golf since 1993.
  • Location: Historically associated with the Royal Limburg Golf Club, but the tournament has since been played at various top courses in Belgium, such as Golf Château de la Tournette and now GC Hulencourt.
  • Participants: The tournament is open to professionals (including members of the Royal PGA of Belgium) and amateurs.
  • Winners: Well-known winners or participants include Kevin Hesbois and young talents such as Savannah De Bock.
